At the New York premiere, Zendaya presented herself as true Athena in the flesh. The actor, who plays the goddess of wisdom, warfare, and craft onscreen, opted for an angelic-faced no-makeup makeup look. Working with longtime makeup artist Ernesto Casillas, Z showcased a glowy, poreless base with super soft rosy blush diffused on her cheeks, finished with a natural, luminous highlight across her cheekbones like a dapple of sunlight. Her nude lip, lined ever so delicately with a skin-complementing brown, matched the visage. Eyebrows were lightly brushed up and tapered neatly, while her eyes were free of mascara or shading. The look carried over from early press calls in the day, perfectly lived-in.

Greek goddess-like beauty is certainly having a moment thanks to the cast of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Whether it’s been Zendaya’s braided crowns, Lupita Nyong’o’s shimmering skin, or Anne Hathaway’s radiant maternity moments, there’s something heavenly in the air.

Her business endeavors encompass the entertainment company Maverick (1992–2009), which included Maverick Records—one of the most successful artist-run labels. Madonna has also pursued fashion brands, written works, health clubs, and filmmaking. sade for the win

Helen Folasade Adu, known professionally as Sade, is a Nigerian-British singer-songwriter. She is the principal songwriter and lead vocalist of the band Sade. One of the most successful British female artists in history, she is often recognised as an influence on contemporary music. Her success in the music industry was recognised with the honour Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2002 New Year Honours, and she was made Commander in the 2017 Birthday Honours.

Sade was born in Ibadan, Nigeria,[12] and was brought up in England from the age of four. She studied at Saint Martin's School of Art in London and gained modest recognition as a fashion designer and part-time model before joining the band Pride in the early 1980s. After gaining attention as a performer, she formed the band Sade and secured a recording contract with Epic Records in 1983. Their album Diamond Life (1984) became one of the era's best-selling albums and the best-selling debut by a British female vocalist.

In July 1985, Sade was among the performers at the Live Aid charity concert at Wembley Stadium and in November the band released their second album, Promise. The next year, she appeared in the film Absolute Beginners. The band released their third album (Stronger Than Pride) in 1988, and a fourth album (Love Deluxe) in 1992. The band went on hiatus in 1996 after the birth of Sade's child.

The band reunited in 1999 and the following year, released Lovers Rock, their first album in eight years. Lovers Rock was a departure from the band's earlier jazz-inspired sounds.

I love lamp

Lamp (Japanese: ランプ) are a Japanese indie pop band formed in 2000, composing of guitarist Taiyo Someya, and vocalists and multi instrumentalists Yusuke Nagai and Kaori Sakakibara.

A shared interest in 1960s American and British music inspired the trio to co-write songs together. After writing enough songs for a demo tape, they played their first show in 2001 in a small bar in Japan. In 2002 they signed a record deal in 2002 with now-defunct label Motel Bleu, and released their debut album Soyokaze Apartment Room 201 a year later.

Despite Lamp recording and releasing multiple albums throughout the decade, their popularity in their early years was restricted to Asia only, with the band exclusively performing music in Japan, China, South Korea, and Taiwan. In 2021, however, their song "Yume Utsutsu" ("Half Asleep") was used in multiple TikTok videos which went viral. Subsequently, their music received widespread popularity in the West.

“It is strange to see pop musicians with sitars. I was confused at first. It had so little to do with our classical music. When George Harrison came to me, I didn’t know what to think,” says Ravi Shankar, the Indian sitar maestro, in Raga, a 1971 documentary about the sitarist. It was a union that would create thunderous ripples as two musical stalwarts one from the East, and another from the West came together.

On the surface they appear to be vastly dissimilar as Ravi Shankar’s musical background was rooted more in the Classical Indian heritage whereas, George Harrison’s music was from an alternate English pop universe. However, when they met their combined love and passion to produce music from the soul couldn’t keep them apart. Something to take notice of here is the stark social backgrounds they both hailed from. Harrison was the son of a bus conductor father and a shop assistant mother, Shankar belonged to an affluent Bengali Brahmin family. Their musical union is a notable one as they overcame and even blurred all these social differences.

🎞️: The Darjeeling Limited

The Darjeeling Limited is a 2007 American comedy-drama film directed by Wes Anderson, which he co-produced with Scott Rudin, Roman Coppola, and Lydia Dean Pilcher, and co-wrote with Coppola and Jason Schwartzman. The film stars Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and Schwartzman. The cast also includes Waris Ahluwalia, Amara Karan, Wallace Wolodarsky, Barbet Schroeder, and Anjelica Huston, with Natalie Portman, Camilla Rutherford, Irrfan Khan, and Bill Murray in cameo roles.

The plot follows three estranged brothers who agree to meet in India a year after their father's funeral for a "spiritual journey" aboard a luxury train.

The film was released on September 29, 2007, by Fox Searchlight Pictures. The film received generally favorable reviews from critics and earned $35 million on a $17.5 million budget.[1] The film premiered at the 64th Venice International Film Festival in competition for the Golden Lion and was named among the Top Films of the Year at the 2007 NYFCO Awards.

Anderson's Hotel Chevalier, starring Schwartzman and Portman, acts as a prologue to the film.

The series includes elements of postmodernism, and functions as a mixture of melodrama and comedy.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a 2012 American coming-of-age romantic drama film written and directed by Stephen Chbosky, and based on his 1999 novel. Logan Lerman stars as a teenager named Charlie who writes to an unnamed friend, and these epistles chronicle his trials, tribulations, and triumphs as he goes through his freshman year of high school. The film depicts his struggles with his, unbeknownst to him, post-traumatic stress disorder, as he goes through his journey in high school making new friends, portrayed by Emma Watson and Ezra Miller. The film's ensemble cast also includes Mae Whitman, Kate Walsh, Dylan McDermott, Joan Cusack, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Rudd in supporting roles.

The film has since become a cult classic, especially among Zillennials, and helped define the "Tumblr era" in the early 2010s.
Chbosky had always intended to adapt the novel to film, but did not rush to do so. He was hesitant to sell the rights to the film to anyone, but eventually sold them to Mr. Mudd Productions as long as they let him write and direct the film. Principal photography began in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in May 2011 and lasted approximately fifty days.
