Wishing the happiest of birthdays to my beautiful, kindhearted, good natured, fierce loving, caring, supporting, patient, and understanding wife.
This past chapter I watched you become a mother, and it was my favorite chapter so far.

You’ve taken care of me, you’ve shown me how I deserve to be loved, you’ve brought out so many good things in this world. You show up for Michael, you show up for the animals. It’s amazing how much love you have to give.

I am so blessed to have you, and to be with you to write these next chapters.

I don’t really understand how this happened.
I just dropped you off on your first day of kindergarten like a couple weeks ago.
Yesterday was Stevie’s first day at her daycare.
Today you start your Senior Year?
Where did the time go?
Soon enough you’ll be in college with a car, and I’ll be hoping I’m still cool enough to hang out with you when you get the time.

Can’t say that I know many people (dumb enough) who’ve put a 30 year old maxi van on the banks of @charlottemotorspeedway
@jzillatrackdays hosts some of the coolest events, and this one is my favorite.
@zriggz got the shots, @instars84 drove the camera rig, @drclaw has an insane amount of faith in me to drive his sweet OBS on the low side of “Bertha Better Than You”

I’m about to list this (damn near) perfect 1977 Trans Am on behalf of the collection, but I wanted to share some of the pictures here first because it is just that damn good.

This is one of the most complete, correct, and best driving examples on any market, if not overall.
I wasn’t around in ‘77 to drive it new, but I am convinced it drives just as good now as it did back then.

62k miles, Buccaneer Red, Pontiac 400 (L78), automatic transmission, Rallye II wheels, power windows, power brakes, power steering, air conditioning (and it works!).

Everything is original except for aftermarket head unit and speakers. Original 8 track doesn’t work, but for the right price I’ll let you keep the Chicago IX Greatest Hits cartridge in the deck.

We had a good visit.
Fireworks, firearms, boat rides, a summer job, some good summer drives, a side car, a side show, some farm stuff, more car stuff, and an evening departure that feels like it comes just days after he got off the plane.
For all the moments I didn’t capture for being there in the moment, here’s a few that I did.

Ever since Michael was a small child, I always thought it would be neat to have a bike with a side car for us to cruise around on.

Here he is almost an adult, and we finally made it happen.
No, it’s not my bike, no, we didn’t leave the gate, and no, we probably didn’t break 25 mph, but it was real to me, damnit.

A check in the box all the same,

I don’t think many of his friends can say they got carted around in the sidecar of a +100 year old bike, hell, I don’t think many of my friends can say the same either.

Happy Due Date to my sweet Daughter.
You came nearly 5 weeks early to start getting things done.
And just look at what you’ve already accomplished.
All the animals love you, especially your old man.
Your eyes are open more, and that’s more calming to me than I would’ve ever thought.
I love watching you just looking at the big world around you with your tiny wild eyes.
You’re making noises, finding your voice.
You’re figuring out how to move those tiny legs and arms.
You’re starting to smile intentionally, and it’s so adorable I could melt every time.
You’ve already got me wrapped around those tiny little fingers, and I am so grateful to have a front row seat at watching you grow. by @swirvine
