This weekend, SwishCircle got to put eyes on what we believe is one of the most underrated guards in Texas.

Standing at 6’2” with an already professional-level frame, Blake Wilson is a two-way guard who can defend and disrupt both the 1 and 2 positions from 94 feet. He’s fast, explosive, and light on his feet, allowing him to apply constant pressure defensively while staying in front of his matchup.

Offensively, Blake has seemingly mastered the art of finishing on two feet, giving him tremendous balance and control around the rim. In transition, he’s a legitimate threat to blow by defenders or rise up and finish above the rim.

What stood out to us most was his ability to create for himself while also making the right reads as a playmaker. He consistently showed the ability to make decisions under pressure and keep the offense moving.

This weekend at #GASO, we noticed just how often Blake was able to beat his man off the dribble. His ability to consistently get downhill forced gap defenders to sag almost completely off their own assignments just to provide help.

That kind of pressure creates opportunities for everyone around him.

In our opinion, Blake Wilson is one of Dallas’ best-kept secrets and a prospect that needs to be uncovered.
