AVA London x FOLD 🌀

A night built around high-energy club music, adventurous selections and one of London’s most uncompromising dancefloors, sound tracked by some of our favourite Irish selectors.

Leading the charge are Optimo (Espacio). Expect Jonnie’s famously open-minded approach to the booth, moving freely between house, techno, electro, post-punk, disco and everything in between.

Joining them are very special guests 👀, alongside AVA family Swoose, Holly Lester, Body Clinic and JWY — bringing together some of the most exciting sounds emerging from Belfast, London and beyond.

Expect twists, turns and serious dancefloor pressure from start to finish.

Pre-register for first access to tickets via email this Friday at 10 am → link in bio.

🎶 T-Minus - Body Clinic

FOLD is 21+ only. Valid ID required. A Pro Pass does not guarantee entry. taken in London by @swoose_

nothing prepares you for your late 30’s. It’s something that creeps up on you and catches u off guard when u least expect. Things you used to throw your nose up at as a young whippersnapper now becomes the most important. One minute your at the party, the next your writing handwritten letters to posh estate owners asking for permission to come to their land & visit the oldest oak tree in the UK 💀

saturday 15 august welcomes @swoose_ back to our booth for an all night long session.

emerging from the irish underground, he draws from a wide palette that stretches from the golden era of machine-led house and techno through to more contemporary, genre-blurring club sounds.

that perspective has taken him from early days in belfast’s scene through to sets across some of the most respected clubs and festivals in europe, alongside a steady run of releases on key underground labels.

Story time: I was playing a private gig a few months ago and the girl managing the event came up to me and told me she loved the track playing.

That track was “Raze-Break 4 love”. She also happened to know Erique aka E-raze who produced it. So I shoot my shot and ask for an intro as I’d love to collaborate.
I hit up Erique, he comes into the studio, we hit it off 🔊

As some of you know (or maybe don’t), Break 4 Love is considered a seminal track in the history of electronic music. So here we are, engineering tracks for house music royalty listening to stories of the past which I’m taking a lot of joy from by @swoose_

long before social media there was a special room in the mid 2000’s @shine.belfast called the Snackbar. You had every G in the game come play. Weatherall, Rolando, Underground resistance, X-press 2, Cajmere, Garnier, Claude Young, DJ Sneak. I could go on and on 🔊🔊🔊

It was in this room where a lot of DJ’s and producers from the city cut their teeth (and ground them 😂)

I found my own lil snackbar here in London. Looking back to those times, it reminds me how important spaces like the Snackbar were in my hometown and how pivotal a space it was in bringing together a divided city through the healing power of music and ritual ❤️‍🔥 by @swoose_
