This depressing Seattle weather got me missing the island a lot more, so I’m just gonna torture myself & post most of my food photos from my latest Hawaii trip in December 🙃 It’s been a little over 2 years since I last visited Oahu due to the pandemic, so you already know that I was super excited to grab some poké at @sushibaykapolei! Their Mix Don has a generous portion of spicy tuna & shoyu ahi, and a nice thick cut of ahi & salmon sashimi on a bed of rice. Real ones know about this westside gem! I know I’m hella late, but this morning’s frosty PNW weather made me officially declare that it’s hot pot season! @liuyishouhotpot serves some great quality hot pot across America, and we’re fortunate enough to have a location up here. You can have multiple soup bases at once to have a nice variety of what they have to offer. I’d definitely recommend the house special pork bone soup and the house spicy base. As for dishes, they have a lot to choose from! Their sliced beef & lamb combo ring is super aesthetically pleasing. Wanna be boujee? Treat yourself to a deluxe beef platter that includes various wagyu cuts & prime marbled beef. Feeling seafood? Their seafood platter will fulfill all your cravings. Can’t have hot pot without some bangin’ sauce right? They have an awesome sauce bar where you can get creative and make the ultimate sauce for you to dip your food in. For those that didn’t know, my all time favorite Vietnamese Coffee Shop @coffeeholichouse is officially opening their 2nd location in Greenwood this weekend! This will be a really big moment because I know the Coffeeholic staff have been working super hard for this and are excited to show the public what they have in store for y’all in their dope space!

Last weekend I stopped by their Private Event to check out the new spot & try out their new upcoming drinks! Pictured is the “Tropical Vine” which is a pandan coconut coffee made with coconut milk, natural pandan flavor, phin dripped coffee and pandan jello. Best topped with Ube foam! “Dancing In The Dark” is a homemade malt chocolate sauce shaken with milk & phin dripped coffee topped with whip cream & Oreo cereal. All I gotta say is that both drinks are AMAZING & FULL OF LIFE!!! Perfect balance between all the flavors! They have a few more new drinks that will be releasing, but that’s for you to try so let me know what you think!

Check out these amazing chicken sandwiches from @themilkdrunk! Sister restaurant to @restauranthomer, this spot is poppin in the Beacon Hill neighborhood! Got the Original, Virginia Boy, and The Homer: Brined & double fried chicken with various toppings served on a potato bun. Very nice crispy texture of the chicken with all those flavors kicking in your mouth 💥 Pretty damn fire! Long time no post! Been too busy handling other business, but I’m somewhat back! Got a lot of content for y’all, so let’s kick it off with some Yakitori heaven!!! @shinyashokudous serves a great variety of high quality Japanese Yakitori & traditional dishes, and a good amount of Wagyu options! Miyazaki A5 Wagyu, US Wagyu Tsukuba, Wagyu Sukiyaki, and even a Wagyu Tataki Donburi! Get that egg porn all over the flavorful Wagyu slices 🤤 Can’t forget about the Wagyu Katsu Sando! Mishima reserve Wagyu with their tangy katsu sauce 💦 Wanna be slightly adventurous? Get some Sunagimo [gizzard] or Hatsu [heart] Yakitori. Chewy texture, but spot on flavor with the rare sauce. Is #MilkTeaMonday a thing? If not, then it should be! I don’t care how cold it is outside because nothing will stop me from my boba cravings! It’s been a while since I last visited @20oztea, so I had to pull up and try out one of their new seasonal drinks: the Pumpkin Cream Milk Tea. A great balance between the black milk tea and cinnamon pumpkin cream! The Strawberry Milk Tea is one of their everyday drinks and it’s pretty damn bomb as well! I chose to add coconut cream to give it that extra flavor kick. What I like about this spot is that you have an option to choose from regular, oat, almond, or soy milk for all you lactose peeps! Everyone knows my guy @microcilantro serves some of the best food out here! We’ve all been waiting for them to open up, but in order for them to do so they still could use some of our support. @siphousewa has been all over my feed the past month, so I finally got the chance to head a little North and check them out! Wish I came here sooner because their coffee is bomb! The Ube Coffee Latte has a firm taste of the Ube sauce with a shot of phin dripped coffee. I decided to add crema to get a good balance of everything. The Cà Phê Sữa Đá [Vietnamese Iced Coffee] wasn’t too strong in a good way. For everyone that’s in the U District or North end of Seattle, go stop by and support this dope little shop for your coffee & tea needs! I’ve found my new go-to Mexican food/taco truck and it’s @tacoselpatronllc! They have a great amount of options and meats to choose from! If you ever get the chance, come through on the weekends to try out their specials like Tacos de Borrego [lamb] and Consomé de Borrego. The taste is so unique and hella bomb if you haven’t tried lamb meat. If you can’t make it on the weekends, you definitely gotta try out the almighty popular Queso-Birria tacos, Asada Fries, Tacos de Lengua [beef tongue] or Pollo [chicken], or whatever else you’re craving! Regardless it’s gonna be fire!!! Wash it down with their refreshing drinks like their perfectly sweet Horchata! There’s also another food truck right next to them specializes in Mexican snacks, elotes, and drinks as well. Their Mangonada and Fresa Crema is bomb! One of my all time favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the PNW definitely has to be @rentonbistro. They have almost everything you can think of in a traditional cuisine. My go-to appetizers are their famous Bánh Bèo Chén [steamed rice cakes] and Goi Cuôn Thit Nuóng [grilled pork spring rolls]. As for the entrees, there’s so many noodles to choose from such as Bún bò Huê, Bún mam, Oxtail Pho, Pho Dac Biêt, Bún Thit Nuóng, and Bún Riêu. All are straight up fire!!! A jam-packed flavor explosion in your mouth with every single bite 💥 Their rice plates are hella bomb as well such as the Com Tâm Dac Biêt that has grilled pork chops, shrimp cake, shredded pork, pork skin, and a fried egg over rice.
