Syd & Andrew chose to celebrate their wedding on Pelican Lake — where each of them grew up spending their summers at their family cabins, only a few properties down from the other.

After they said ‘I do’ on the shoreline, Irene & Herb’s Golden Anniversary Bell chimed from the distance as the moment settled.

For the Wiggans, nothing’s official until the newlyweds have carved out their cabin stepping stone — perhaps a tradition that legitimizes a union in their family more than the marriage license. So the two made their way to a paint splattered craftsman table, and carved their names into cement.

With less than 100 guests in attendance, Syd & Andrew were able to narrow in on the things that mattered. Parents, siblings and best friends spoke of the friendship underlying their romance, the laughs shared over the years, and the many travel adventures that illuminated Syd & Andrew’s relationship.
