The impact of public art goes far beyond aesthetics—it’s backed by research. 🎨🧠

When art becomes part of our streets, it transforms both people and places. Here's what the research shows:

🧠 Supports mental well-being: Experiencing art in everyday life can help lower stress levels and stimulate positive emotional responses.

🛡️ Creates safer spaces: Revitalizing neglected walls with murals has been associated with significant reductions in vandalism and graffiti.

🤝 Strengthens community: Public art fosters a sense of belonging, celebrates local identity, and brings neighbors together.

🚶‍♂️ Revitalizes neighborhoods: Murals and public art can increase foot traffic, encouraging people to spend more time in the area and supporting local businesses.

Public art isn't just decoration—it’s a meaningful investment in healthier, stronger, and more connected communities. 🏙️✨

In honor of Women's History Month, Artelatam is proud to showcase our Certified Visionaries.

As a certified M/WBE (Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise), we don't just create art—we build cultural landmarks with the professional excellence and strategic impact that New York City demands.

Today, we celebrate four extraordinary women who are redefining social resistance, urban landscapes, and community transformation: Natali Bravo-Barbee, @barbee_bravo; Sydia Reyes, @sydiart; Sylvia R. Mata, @sylvia.r.mata; and Gilly Lugo, @gillygeeart.

Their work proves that Latina-led vision is not only a creative force but a certified powerhouse for public and private partnerships in the city. Stay tuned this week as we dive into their stories and the impact of their craft.
