To know Jake is to love Jake, and to be loved by him in return is a gift I never take for granted. The brightest light, the safest spot, and the home I never expected. What a privilege to see you grow and evolve into the most kind, self aware, and thoughtful partner. You give your whole self and whole heart to those you love, to music, to our partnership, and it is a consistent inspiration to me. I’m sorry I gaslit you into believing you were turning 33 instead of 32 this year. Happy Birthday, Jakey. You’re the actual best. taken in Tulsa, Oklahoma by @sydjenn

“Guardian Angels”

This song has always been one to lead me into a deep, cathartic cry of gratitude. That gratitude feels very close to the gratitude I carry for all of my students — and I hope you all enjoy seeing sweet Layla’s introductory phrase to this very special piece.

“Erupting Light”

My sweet Minis got a duo for their first year on Company together and man, did we have a ball with it.

A nearly-undefeated season for Sadie and Layla with this one — and I cannot wait to start anew.
