Some news I’ve been sitting on: I am officially a published author!!✍🏽 My article, Chapter 11: Teacher Life Without the Burnout: Sustaining Well-Being, is part of The New Teacher’s Guide to Overcoming Common Challenges, Second Edition, coming from Routledge this November.

This book brings together 140+ educators writing honestly about what actually helps in the first years of teaching. I’m proud to be one of them, and I can’t wait for readers to enjoy!

Lewis Jr. Lodge #261 @su_masons , we read to the 1st- 5th grade students at Baker Heights/ Bakersfield Elementary School ! 📚 Together we improved the educational literacy of hundreds of young students, engaged in many meaningful and impactful discussions about black history, and the importance of understanding the impacts that African Americans have had on the American society !
