I am incredibly honored to be UC Berkeley’s ASUC Executive Vice President-Elect🫂🌟🧸

As a first-generation college student, daughter of Khmer Rouge refugees, and Koun Khmer in America, I could have never imagined this life for myself. When I first stepped foot on campus, it felt so big and intimidating. Now, I look around and only see the communities that have supported me and made this place home.

To my President-Elect Margaret and ElevateCal team, thank you for always being there for me when things became rougher than we could’ve imagined; you were the steady hand I always needed to guide me. To my campaign managers Clara, Chloe, and Gabby thank you for all the hours, energy, and love you put into this campaign, it would be nothing without you. To the rest of the Sydnee4EVP team, this win is all of ours and I could never thank you enough for your dedication to this movement. 💗💗💗

To my family and friends back home, this is all for you.

I am ready to serve the student body in the way it needs, working to make Cal a more representative space for all; centering the voices of our student leaders and diverse student population.

With love,
Sydnee
