It's personal this year. I won't tell all but here are 3 things I have lined up to accomplish this year. Blocking out all the noise and focusing on having it all.

Praying for an injury free race season with my 1st Full Marathon on deck (Run Philly with me), working to become a certified running coach and I bought myself a bike to work on some cross training. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger!! 2026, please be better than 2025 because that was trash!! 😤😤😤 taken in Somewhere on the Earth by @sydney4rmphilly

Longest run ever completed and solo. Got in 15 easy miles this morning. Wasn't sure how it was going to go since I may have overstretched and pulled a muscle in my back yesterday. The show goes on. Used ice/heat and Biofreeze yesterday along with getting some rest and ran with a Biofreeze patch on. It helped so much

They say if you can run a half, what's 2 more miles. Although my pace was easy, this wasn't so easy. When you train your body to only run up to a certain mileage, when you hit that point, your body knows it. This is why training is important. At 13 miles, I looked for a finish line as if it was a race. I wasn't tired but more bored. Probably because it was a solo run but hopefully, I can get some people to join me on the next long run.

I said this on my stories yesterday, but I think this should be highlighted here. I just met Sydney on Juneteenth. She came to my Black Girl Joy Bike Ride. After the ride, I was casually talking to some of the riders about how I was supposed to do the Sprint Relay Duathlon at this years Women's Philly Triathlon, but my partner had to drop out. Sydney, who I had met for the first time that day, said that she would be my partner. ❤️

I'm grateful.

*and she was willing to engage in my color coordinated outfit shenanigans.

Thank you, Sydney. I appreciate you. We did good.

Today, I completed my second duathlon at the Women's Philly Triathlon. This time, I did the sprint relay with @sydney4rmphilly and we came in 5th place. Only one minute less than placing for 3rd place! I'm so proud of us.

Easy pace 9 mile run this morning. Decided to take it to where I grew up. Hit up Cobbs Creek. Did the first 2.5 miles with @mz_dallas. She only had 5 so we parted ways and I continued. Hit my turn around point and figured I have no choice but to knock the rest out by myself. I was wrong. I just so happened to run into @thefit_tinybechtel and she also had a 5 mile run planned. She ran with me for my last 2.5 miles.

Felt great out there. First time ever running down Cobbs Creek. Spend a lot of time there as a kid but never imagined I'd run the trail.

Now the sweat was crazy!!! My shorts started off dry and were dripping wet when I finished taken in Cobbs Creek, Philadelphia by @sydney4rmphilly

Join BGR Philly for our annual Ben Franklin Bridge Run on July 4th!! All faces and paces are welcome!!

We will meet at 7 am. Take a group pic at 7:25 am and head over to the bridge at 7:30 am

Any runners coming from Jersey, feel free to start on your side and catch us on the bridge or double up those miles and meet us on the Philly side.

They were a little late sending out awards but I had no clue that I won one. Does this mean I have to top this year's run? Already signed up for 2027 by @sydney4rmphilly
