“fish camps” are often used to describe a seasonal camp used for fishing! this goes way back. on kodiak, the Alutiiq/Sugpiaq people have been traveling for the salmon for thousands of years.

slow cabin mornings that have become very chilly, a skiff ride to visit the @alutiiqmuseum ‘s mobile museum, a river trip with good company, a fire to end the day 🛶⚓️🐟🪻

it is always fascinating to learn more about kodiak, the bay we spend our summers, and the Alutiiq/Sugpiaq people who have lived here for thousands of years
