Could it be that we are witnessing the end of the watch as an investment/ store of value runup? First time in nearly a decade I can remember seeing multiple #Rolex #Daytonas in a single store visit. And I have been waiting for this white gold version to compare against the yellow and rose variants… time will tell… but now my problem is do I go for white, yellow, or rose!!?? by @sydneywatchguy

The #vacheronconstantinoverseas #perpetualcalendar is a beautiful watch, shown here in rose gold and blue dial. This is a lovely watch… but I still prefer the white gold and burgundy variant. by @sydneywatchguy

I’ve felt that I’m at the end of my #Rolex journey for a while, but coming across this and the last #Daytona has made me FEEL maybe I could have a watch in multiple colour ways (I always thought this was lame… but with the Daytona *ahem* it kinda feels necessary). by @sydneywatchguy

The elusive #Rolex #cosmographdaytona is an impressive watch, make it rose gold and give it a chocolate dial and it’s even more so… I thought I wanted white gold with a black dial, but now maybe this is the one… by @sydneywatchguy

It has been quite a while since I have got to try on a #AudemarsPiguet #RoyalOak and I’m surprised at how much the feel has changed. At 41mm it wears significantly better than I remember… onto the wait list I go! by @sydneywatchguy

Another snap from earlier in the week where I got to try on the #VacheronConstantin #Overseas #PerpetualCalendarUltraThin. The photos don’t do it justice. The grey gold looks amazing, the fit is so comfortable, the burgundy dial is like NOTHING on the market, and it’s SO thin. Definitely an AMAZING watch.

I was very surprised today when I walked into the local boutique and got to try on the #VacheronConstantin #overseasperpetualcalendarultrathin. I’ve never been drawn to a #perpetualcalendar but this one has been executed superbly by @vacheronconstantin and now that I’ve seen it, I know I need it. by @sydneywatchguy

The last few years have been interesting to say the least and I thought my love of horology and watches was waining, but after some beautiful releases from @vacheronconstantin @patekphilippe and @parmigianifleurier, and rediscovering @laurent_ferrier and @fpjourneofficial I realised it wasn’t my love that shrunk, but the creativity of some brands. It’s a case of onward and upward as I prepare to jump into new territory, and look forward to sharing what I discover (with the few people who follow me) 😎

Throwback to when I tried on (for the 2nd time) the #VacheronConstantin #Overseas #Dualtime in rose gold with the green dial. Few watches make me stop and change my mind, but this one caused such an occasion.

In my hands next to the #Rolex #DayDate40 in yellow gold with the black diamond motif dial.
