And just like that, the 2024-2025 the Crested Butte Mountain Sports season has come to an end. I had to miss our last days of training, lying in bed with a stomach bug. It’s given me the time to reflect on the season:

This year I was asked to be the head coach for the Junior Devo division. At such a young age, I never thought I would be able to do something this big. After dropping out of college and trying to find my way, the CBMST changed my life. I had the privilege to work with the best coaches in the world, on and off the slopes. Shout out to my devo coaches: @elly21382 @madison_caster @maxthomsen2 @hannahgarvey_ @aidanlubowicki and cannot forget, @hpell.22 These humans made waking up early in negative 30 degree weather totally worth it. I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am for the entire staff of CBMST. You all know who you are!

As for the kiddos, everyday was an adventure. Traveling to Vail for a U12 comp, hiking the butte’s amazing terrain, watching 7 year olds nail a 360 and a rail in the same day, and of course, the amazing snack breaks. I have an amazing amount of gratitude for them and their families. I struggled all season with sickness and every weekend, my crew would ask if I was okay or needed a cup of tea. Sometimes they would just bring me tea. I am amazed at the work EVERYONE put in to this program and these kids.

There are truly not enough words our hours to explain my love for this team and the people who have made it a dream come true. My camera roll and heart are full of youth, love, and inspiration.

Sent by the savior, welcome the Rasta Youths

Jah bless you, CBMST ❤️
