Whenever you’re planning on taking any batteries with you on any sort of activity please remember do not put them in your pockets or anywhere on yourself for that matter, and always use a battery bag especially with lithium batteries. I can’t express how big of a lesson I learned the other day when on the first trail to start my ride, overall I’m ok I just didn’t realize at first it was the @gopro battery in my bucket that immediately ignited in flames and not just my tire piping from the fall. Luckily my shorts didn’t melt right away but probably should consider som cottons ones even if I’m carry my phone…idk this just shook me up. I understand it’s a soft shell decently high output lithium battery that’s in these GoPros so all safety measures need to be taken. So no sure if this is news to gopros users but I’m sure to the new buyer it’s apparent we all remember to take extreme caution with these the transport, placement and just overall use of them. I did see the 13 uses a different battery now, not sure if it’s a hard shell but for all the soft type shell batteries that are in most everyone’s GoPros now do yourself a favor and get a battery bag, even at the very least a pair of fresh pair of lycra shorts and a little first degree burn is definitely not worth it. #goproawards by @sykesbikes
