A neighbour of the family I was volunteering for in the tree plantations of Haputale. I saw her a fair few times, and everytime really wanted to take her picture. After a few weeks, I managed to build up the courage to ask her. She sits on her chair outside the front of her house, as she did every day when I walked passed her.

Was on a hike in Haputale. No one was around for a good 10 minutes, and then I passed this lady peacefully sitting outside her street-side shop. After some difficult language communication, she agreed to let me take her portrait.

I love photography because I would have never remembered this man and his obscure face if I didn’t ask to take his portrait.

So many photographs to come that are just sitting on my laptop. Can’t wait for them all to finally be out there.

Was walking through a French market when I passed this sweet accordion player. I took some photos of him and showed him. I’ve never gotten a response like his. He was full of gratitude, and told me that no one had really ever taken his photo before, especially not like this. Was a very happy day for me 😁😁

The sweetest stranger I have come across to date. Reading his newspaper, he caught my eye as I was walking past in a small town called Haputale. As I began to take his portrait, he noticed me and his entire face completely lit up. He had the biggest smile which filled his whole face, he was so happy that I wanted to take his picture. He made my walk to the juice shop a far more memorable journey.
