When Friendship Dies:

The beginning of every friendship is usually filled with fun, unspoken promises, and the hopeful expectation that it will last forever.

In these early days, we find ourselves talking for hours over the phone, sharing details about our daily lives—what we ate, things we did, work, life, relationships, and so on. We dive deep into our dreams for the future, never getting bored or tired. We look forward to daily phone calls, texts, and, of course, those in-person meetups.

But then, over time, we start to drift apart. The phone calls and regular check-ins become less frequent. Sometimes days go by without either of us noticing the silence. Eventually, we find ourselves questioning, “Who called first?” “Why am I always the one to reach out?” “Am I the only one sharing my life?”

At this stage, we take a step back and watch as the friendship slowly fades. The love, time, and connection we once shared dissolve, creating a vast emptiness and a wall of silence between us. In the end, the friendship quietly dies, and we can’t even pinpoint what caused its death.
