is grateful.

It's a few hours to my birthday, and I decided earlier this year that I'd intentionally count my blessings.

For context, I am sort of a late bloomer, and the air around my birthdays is usually tainted with the stench of comparison.

But this year, I chose a different response. I chose to look at my life through the lens of God's faithfulness, and boyyyyyyy am I blooming in season, in God's season.

This year, I am choosing to run the race that God has set before me, eyes fixed on Jesus, the God of my seasons.

Wherever you are, in whatever season, fixing your eyes on Jesus is how you find joy, even when there is nothing to be joyful about. And even when it looks like you're slow, remember that the God of the seed and the harvest is your God.

PS: I figured that this also works as a 2025 review as we're still in January 🫶🏼

It's exactly 5 days to my birthday, and here are 5 things that you probably didn't know about me.

1. I am have a sweet tooth. Once something is sweet, you'll find me there 🤣🤣🤣

2. I'm a DIY babe, a jack of many skills and probably a master of 80% of them. I can make hair/wigs, make beads and beaded accessories, make nails, and give a badass pedicure/manicure. I also bake, make yoghurt, and sweet treats.
If a thing can be learned, best believe that I will learn it if I have an interest in it. The only thing I can't do currently is sew (that might change soon).

3. I have not always been a fan of colours outside black/dark colours. In 2025 (since I got married), I began warming up to other colours.

4. I used to play basketball in Uni. I also played handball and volleyball (played volleyball in secondary school and uni). I tried my hands at discus throw and javelin throw in secondary school.

5. I hate pap (ogi, akamu) and its cohorts with the entirety of my being. Just perceiving a whiff of it will make me almost throw up.
