One decision in college changed my life...

Sometimes you have to give up on your hoop dreams.

And now I’ve made over $1M working in GovTech.

Here’s what I want to share with you:

First:

You DON’T need a college degree to work in GovTech.

Yes, I graduated from college.

But this isn’t what GovTech employers value most.

Instead, they’re looking for people with real skills. And the single most important thing that proves you have these is...

A CompTIA Security+ certification.

It shows you have foundational cybersecurity knowledge...

And it qualifies you for entry-level GovTech jobs:

(Help Desk / IT Support, $50k-75k/yr starting.)

Plus, many people can start applying for $100k+/yr roles in 6-8 months.

Second:

You DON’T need to be a genius.

Most people don’t know it, but I actually struggled through school...

Both high school and college.

What you DO need is a willingness to do the work...

And most importantly...

To believe in yourself.

If you can do that, there is NO LIMIT to what you can accomplish in GovTech.

Working in GovTech brings so many crazy benefits.

Here’s just one of them...

If you’re willing to work overseas, you can get a huge pay bump right away.

I did exactly this:

I went from $85k to $140k/yr...

Just by accepting a position in Japan.

Plus...

I made even more by hopping to other roles in Taiwan and South Korea.

But working overseas gives you a “secret” raise too.

Why?

Because all of your living expenses are paid for...

And you pay no U.S. federal taxes on the first $125k/yr in earnings.

The game plan is simple:

Make more money...

Save more money...

Then invest your earnings.

This is exactly how I multiplied my GovTech earnings to become a millionaire.

Stop sleeping on using AI to upskill and make more money. People who start using AI now won't need to worry about AI taking their jobs. The best use of your time right now is learning how to leverage AI to make more money.

Should $100,000 salary still be the goal? My opinion everyone has to start somewhere. Aim for $75K->$100K->$150K salary by agressively moving up in your career.

There is still opportunity to move up quickly in your career, but you have to move quickly.

Cyber IAM vs Linux System Admin which remote 100K role should you choose? Honestly it depends, one is more technical then another but they both are remote and pay $100K+.

Corporate jobs are still the best way to make 100K+ salary.

It’s not difficult to move up in the tech industry into high paying senior level roles. C Suite is always going to difficult, but C Suite isn’t really necessary to make $100K+ salary.

Don't let money be the root cause of headaches at home. Tech can completely change your finances, especially in an economy like this.

You have to position yourself to be in careers that are high paying without requiring you to go back to school to get another degree. Tech is the best career opportunity available for career changers looking to change their financial situation.
