Paranoid Elektroid is out on all platforms this Friday, March 20th! It is a four track EP by Athens based DJ/producer Fro that serves as a bold mission statement to define the Synr Records sonic palette. Steeped in dark, futuristic energy, @fro_0666’s original tracks include distorted arpeggios, distant robotic vocals, elastic basslines and glitching, code-like textures bridging a unique style of dark disco and electro sounds. The EP closes with a remix of “Paranoid Elektroid” by our founder @_marienyx, who reshapes the original into a lush electro cut driven by gritty bass, zapping synths, and skittering hi-hats.

Athens based producer Fro makes his Synr debut with Paranoid Elektroid, a four track EP steeped in dark, futuristic energy. The record opens with “Love Malfunction,” a dark-disco cut fueled by distorted arpeggios, distant robotic vocals, and razor-edged synths. It then moves into Paranoid Elektroid, where a playful, carnivalesque lead twists into something more menacing over elastic basslines and glitching, code-like textures. “Point of No Return” hits next with chant-like hooks, shimmering highs, and a grinding low end that drives the track forward. The EP closes with a remix of “Paranoid Elektroid” by Synr Records founder Marie Nyx, who reshapes the original into a lush electro cut driven by gritty bass, zapping synths, and skittering hi-hats. This body of work serves as a bold mission statement to define the sonic palette of Synr Records.

Today, we welcome @fro_0666 to the Synr family. Fro is a DJ, producer, and multifaceted figure in the Athens underground electronic scene. From his early engagement in music, he has established himself as a versatile artist that reflects both breadth and depth of taste. Known for his dynamic sets that traverse genres, he is able to move fluidly between club-oriented energy and more experimental or dance floor oriented expressions.

He is one half of the electro project @monodroids, a resident member of @society3000_ , part of the art-collective B L N K, and organizer/resident DJ of Slam! Queer Parties. Each platform illustrates his strong ties to the underground, community-led and inclusive electronic culture in Athens. We are really excited to share his 4 track EP, Paranoid Elektroid, with our community. It is up for Preorder now on Bandcamp to celebrate Bandcamp Friday.

Full album art reveal of my next EP Shades of Red! @vnc.ptk took my inspiration for the EP and transformed it into a visual that fully embodies its sound.

The EP drops at midnight on all platforms- Friday September 5th. It’s also Bandcamp Friday so all proceeds will go directly to the artists involved. Also there’s a special bonus edit of Same Kinda Freak blended with Nasty by Tinashe by @bb.shaine if you purchase the whole EP! It can be found on @darkheavenco! by @synr.records

Shades of Red by Marie Nyx is out on all platforms on Friday, September 5th! The EP features 4 original tracks by Marie, 2 remixes and a bonus edit.

Marie is thrilled to have @w_t_c_h , @caitlinoliveira, and @bb.shaine be a part of this project, which launches her own label, @synr.records and is her first collaboration with Chicago’s @darkheavenco .

@w_t_c_h has been one of her favorite producers for some time. He delivered a classic WTCHCRFT energy to the “Same Kinda Freak” remix—a relentless, driving beat that pulls you in and doesn’t let go, paired with a formant-shifted twist on the original vocal hook.

Marie first discovered @caitlinoliveira through an electro compilation and instantly knew she wanted to collaborate. CATA’s rework of “Masokissed”brings a lighter, more ethereal touch while staying true to the track’s unmistakable electro roots.

@bb.shaine blended “Nasty” by Tinashe with “Same Kinda Freak” after Tinashe dropped her stems last summer—bringing to life the exact mashup Marie had dreamed of. A DJ/producer love story, amIright?? It is up as a bonus track on Bandcamp only!

Same Kinda Freak is out today on all platforms! It is a spicy electro track that includes a vocal hook by Marie accompanied by a deep bassline and fierce groove. It sets the tone for Marie’s Shades of Red EP that will be out on all platforms on 9/5.
