Today I took my sweet Hippo boy to the private off leash park; No matter how excited he is to explore and enjoy running around he will make multiple stops to check in. It is so wonderful to be any animals safe space, but there is something so magical about being a rescue's safe space.

It's been a little over 3 months since @b1g_ib and I adopted our sweet boy Hippo and he is finally showing his adorable personality; he is a calm sweet cuddler that has quite the sassy streak but he is a perfect fit for our little family and I am so excited to watch him become even more himself and get used to the routines! #pitcross #lovemeabullybreed #adopted #rescuedog #sweetbutsassy by @syrinix

Meet Hippo; he is @b1g_ib and i's recently adopted pup. He is 85lbs of pure love and we couldn't be happier with him. For those who know me personally, you know I thought it would be years before I got a new pup after our Coffey boy passed; and honestly I really did believe that. Life has a funny way of working though and Hippo's post from a rescue I have followed for years popped up on my fyp and I couldn't get his sweet face out of my head. Ian and I made a plan to meet him telling ourselves that meeting him didn't mean we were taking him home. Obviously we were very wrong; we met this sweet boy and instantly fell in love. He came home with us the same day. I will always miss my first baby, my Coffey boy but I am glad Ian and I can give Hippo a happy life. ❤️ #adopted #pittyshepherdcross #justa3yearoldbaby #loveafterheartbreak #rescue by @syrinix

I got to spend last week with my favorite human in the entire world @b1g_ib We got to run the Grizzly Ultra Marathon (as part of a team) and enjoy a very snowy Canmore. We got to drive to BC and enjoy a botanical garden, a fancy dinner theater, the beach and time with family we don't get to see nearly enough. The Rainbow Bridge gained the Best boy today. The Mister and I are absolutely devastated to lose our baby, Coffey but we are so thankful for the 11 years of love and adventure we had with him.
