I was trying to sit on the bench for the water balloon fight when the VBS director said, “Acha, we need you out there to start.” I came out thinking I’d be invincible, but I quickly became a main target. At one point, I got the guy on the DYA national team, but then the kids got me good! I’m still washing everything off after an amazing summer VBS at St. Mary’s.

At the end, one of the little ones asked, “Acha, can we have VBS every day of the summer?” 😊 by @syro.clt

Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!”
- John 13:9

It has been a privilege to enter into the washing of the feet on Holy Thursday over the years. In this ceremony, we encounter Jesus, the Lord of heaven and earth, who kneels before His disciples. The One whom angels adore becomes a servant, showing us that true greatness is found in humility.

Through this act, He teaches us that love is not about being served, but about giving ourselves for others. To follow Him is to die to ourselves and live in self-giving love.
