NEW ALBUM ALERT – Coming August 7

DROID presents: CHARGE

Jordan McLean – Trumpet / Electronics

From the gutters of NYC’s electro-punk dynasty emerges a neon phoenix.

For nearly three decades, DROID has forged an uncompromising musical language at the intersection of jazz improvisation and electronic music.

Drawing from a lineage that includes Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, and David Bowie, CHARGE arrives somewhere unmistakably its own—asserting its identity outside trends, scene revivals, or category definitions.

Produced by Amir Ziv
Mixed by Abe Seiferth

Featured track: “Set”
Composed by DROID

Released on System Dialing Records

Greetings to my former, current, and future drumming students: This January 4th through the 8th I will be running a small group (3-7 participants) drumming intensive to be held in Park Slope Brooklyn at an awesome venue called ShapeShifter Lab, with a focus on coordination, harmonic rhythm, and technique. Each day will consist of 5 hrs of training divided into two segments 10am - 12:30pm and 2:30 - 5pm, for a total of 25hrs of training over the course of the five work days. In the 2hrs between the two segments (12:30 - 2:30pm), participants will have time to enjoy lunch in the neighborhood, which offers lots of great eateries.
Because this group intensive does not include lodging accommodations and meals, the price has been greatly reduced to $2500 (from the usual $4500).
In addition to this reduced price, I'm offering to the first 4 students who pre-register by Nov 12th a $200 discount!
This intensive will officially be announced and registration period will begin on Nov 12th and will close Dec 11th on the Living Arts Apprenticeship (LAAP) website. To pre-register and receive the discount you must contact me privately by Nov 11th. To secure a spot, there will be a $500 deposit required to be paid when participants register.
If you are interested or have any questions please let me know asap through a private IG message. I am super psyc'd to have the opportunity to be doing this with you 🙂 ! taken in ShapeShifter Plus by @systemdialingrecords
