🏈 1-2-4 ZONE DEFENSE | 7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL

One defensive system. Multiple offensive formations.

The 1-2-4 Zone gives your defense a consistent structure while adjusting to different offensive looks.

🔥 The Breakdown:
✅ Balanced Formation
✅ Empty Formation
✅ Trips Formation
✅ Heavy Formation
✅ Bunch Formation

Keys to making the 1-2-4 work:

🔸 1 Rusher – Apply pressure and disrupt the QB.

🔸 2 Hook/Curl Defenders – Protect the underneath passing lanes.

🔸 4 Deep Defenders – Divide the field into quarters and eliminate big plays.

The goal isn’t to memorize a new defense for every formation. It’s to understand your responsibilities, communicate, and execute your coverage rules.

📲 SWIPE through the carousel to see how the 1-2-4 adjusts to different formations.

🏈 7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL | DOUBLE SLANT SWING

Simple concept. Quick reads. Put defenders in conflict.

The Double Slant Swing combines quick-hitting slants with two swing routes to attack the defense horizontally while creating opportunities downfield.

🔥 THE CONCEPT:

✅ Double Slants – Attack inside leverage with quick 1-step and 3-step breaks.

✅ Center Post – Stretch the defense vertically and attack the open middle.

✅ Swing Routes – Release into the flats to create easy completions and opportunities after the catch.

🎯 COACHING POINTS:

• Read the defender’s leverage.

• Make quick decisions and get the ball out.

• Keep the swing receivers in the flats.

• Take what the defense gives you.

The goal isn’t to run complicated plays. It’s to create simple reads that put defenders in difficult situations.

Make the defense wrong!

🏈 RPO BOOT WHEEL — MAKE THE DEFENSE CHOOSE!

One of the best ways to attack a flag football defense is to put defenders in conflict.

The RPO Boot Wheel combines motion, misdirection, and multiple options to force defenders to make quick decisions.

🔥 Here’s what makes it effective:

✅ Pre-snap motion forces the defense to communicate and adjust.

✅ Boot action puts the quarterback on the move with a run/pass threat.

✅ Flat route creates an easy underneath option.

✅ Wheel route attacks vertically when defenders get caught looking in the backfield.

✅ QB run option punishes defenders who overcommit to coverage.

The key isn’t just running the play. It’s teaching your QB to recognize the defender’s decision and attack the space they leave behind.

Don’t just call plays. Teach players how to make plays.

🏈 7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL RPO — MAKE THE DEFENSE CHOOSE!

Why make the decision for your quarterback when you can put a defender in conflict?

This Run-Pass Option (RPO) gives your QB multiple ways to attack the defense within the same play.

🚩 The Concept:
✅ Run action forces defenders to respect the backfield.
✅ Crossing routes create traffic and stretch the coverage.
✅ The drag provides a quick underneath option.
✅ The corner and post routes attack deeper coverage.

The coaching point: Don’t just teach your quarterback where to throw. Teach them what to read!

Make the defense wrong. If they take away one option, attack the space they leave behind.

Simple reads. Quick decisions. Explosive plays.
