Joy and pain are putting it simply. This is the easy to digest, easy to write out version of life right now.
Details cause dissociation and then I’ll be lost and never share a thing
So here we are, blurry and messy and lost
Trying to leave placemarkers for myself
Trying to create a memory source away from our mind.

Still sad and sore but it’s not as bad as it was a few days ago, I was able to do some dishes today which made me so happy.

Headaches and meltdowns
Nightmares and wet beds
Healing but breaking, but messy, but need meds.
Healing not looking like blossoming joy
Like giggling laughter
Like comforting versions of who I should be.
It’s disgusting and sticky
Painful and rude
Being way too much no matter the mood
After decades of learning to turn it all down
Self editing, dampening, turns into a drown
I was dying just trying to hide and exist
So I’m here making noise
Making art
Doing whatever I can to remind myself I don’t need to be less.

I had horrible neck pain yesterday which gave me a headache
I made this art from how it felt

The pain still lingers today

Posting my flawed, messy poetry cause AI COULD NEVER

I can already see so much I want to ‘fix’ in this writing, I don’t really post writing or much at all these days
Cause I’m consumed with perfectionism
Which fuckin sucks

Bad art is better than nothing and also better than overly polished sanitised corporate/money making images that appeal to ‘all’

Flaws are human
Perfection doesn’t exist

Yes I can revise and rewrite this
I can make my message clearer and imagery stronger

But I wrote it to get my feelings out
None of that is stopped by the lack of perfection in the piece

I am human therefore I am a bit fucked up
🌧️🌦️🥰🫶🏻

Kissing calm all over me

These pattering drips, our favourite song

The building pressure that guts my heart
Grown from a world prizing truth in dark

This heart is soothed
This spine
These toes
With the falling of water comes the slipping of woes

Aren’t quite so loud when we hear this call

It’s natures reminder release or drop

A doll, a train, a game to win

Consumed by flaws
Gagged shouts of abuse bounce off of the walls

Cries of logic and love are transformed into hate
For this fence isn’t built with an included gate

So I’m grateful to rain
Grateful to fall
Grateful for feeling alive at all

Because who am I in all this pain
If it can’t be released by the sound of the rain

After a month or something without meds we’re finally medicated like normal again and so had capacity to do makeup
Got a lot to catch-up on in the next week, we’ve fallen behind alot bur reminding ourselves that life is not a race. Being here is the prize. We’re doing the best we can.

Enjoying less foundation/concealer

Pissed off, I’ve basically been locked out (of our headspace) and forced to front cause no one else wants to be dealing with our life right now.
I haven’t fronted more than a few minutes at a time, until a few days ago. Now I’m stuck here and so tired.

Energy is so weird with DID.
I’m used to fronting for a few seconds - a few minutes normally, high energy, run by fury.
That does not last long! So I feel fuckigg weird. Like a dragged/stretched out moment in time that lasts forever. I don’t know.
