My dear big brother John, I want to dedicate this post to you❤️ John was the definition of positive energy. He lit up any room he was in. But not only that, he cared and cared deeply. For people especially the youth, his North London community that he did so much for, and his Guyanese roots. He looked out for me the second we started working together and took me under his wing like a big brother. After many work days, I’d check in on him and we would slap on some music and jist, and he’d drop me wisdom before I left. I’d go home so grateful for someone like that in my corner I could look up to. His vibes, his energy, his genuine love, his selflessness, his passion and his desire for this world to be a better place. All unmatched. He was a role model and true inspiration to me. On Friday, we linked up and when we said goodbye to each other, he dapped me up and assured me he was good and that we link up again later this summer. Monday, he was gone. I say that to you whoever is listening that it is so so so so important to check on your people. Even the most positive, radiant and vibrant like my big bro. May the Lord strengthen us all and keep us fighting on in our darkest moments. Jesus has taken me out of my worst days and brought me back to my feet. Whatever you’re going through behind closed doors, keep fighting and fighting with everything you got. Talk to yourself more than your mind talks to you.
