3 years ago, I decided to come back and played for my family’s club which was USO. I never knew or understand at that time how my volleyball career would look like and looking back at it now, I can honestly say that coming back to play for them was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

When I returned, I didn’t just come back to a volleyball club, I was coming home. These last three years have given me more than I could ever imagined. They’ve given me unforgettable memories, friendships that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life, and a family that has stood beside me through every high and every low.

To my coaches uncle uli, uncle luse, aunty fua, coach peka, & my mom, thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and helping me grow not only as a volleyball player but as a person. Each and every one of you saw potential in me even when I didn’t even see it for myself. These last three years have been my best, happiest, and meaningful years of my life.

Volleyball for me has been more than just a game. For me, it was about the people beside me, the trust I build with them, and the memories I created with them. That’s what I’ll miss the most. It’s incredible hard knowing this is the last time I’ll ever wear a USO jersey but it won’t stop me from wearing it to wherever I’ll go lol. This club has been a huge part of my life which is why saying goodbye is like leaving a part of my life behind and move on forward.

Even though my time as a player here is done, the memories will never leave me. Every point, every huddle, every tournament, every practice, every laugh, every tear,every meal together, every loss, every win, and every hug has helped shaped the person I am today.

Thank you for welcoming me into the club three years ago. Thank you for giving me a chance to wear a jersey and be a part of this family. I’ll always be grateful for that. One thing I love about my family’s club is that once you’re a part of it, you never really leave. Thank you for everything you’ve given me. Thank you for making this place feel like home.
