'All I know is you said hello and your eyes felt like coming home'

Introducing Beth and Simon, my FMC and MMC.

I'm nowhere near finished with this book but I know that when I am done it will be a bittersweet farewell to a couple I truly adore. They are everything.

Hi! SUPRISE!! The title of my book is no longer a (not so well kept) secret! I can't believe this story will be yours so soon! And I am unbelievably terrified, but I genuinely believe I'm writing something you all will love just as much as I do.

If It Makes You Happy is a love story set in a fictionalised version of the lake district, it's about having a second chance at true love and a second chance at knowing yourself, even in the face of your greatest tragedy. (Plus there's a really cute dog and an MC that reads)

If you love funny, heartfelt love stories where the HEA is guaranteed even when it looks impossible, If It Makes You Happy is the book for you.

Day 10! Of the #writerspromptparty Quotes from my WIP. I tried to pick a few that wouldn't give anything away, I need to retain some mystery after all!

A little look at my WIP (If It Makes You Happy coming next June) via a song, a feeling, a scent, a season and a love language. What do you think?

If it makes you happy, it makes me happy.

Day 8 of the #writerspromptparty

Four things I love are books, the sea, cooking and listening to music with my kindle.
Whilst my characters are all about the movies, books and photography.

My opposites attract Romcom dedicated to love, loss and starting over will be yours in eight months!

A little sneak peak into a day of my life, usually I'm in my PJs In front of a screen but I thought I would go for a walk today before getting back home to study and work a little bit more. It was much needed after a rough start this morning (The mug says it all!)

What did you do today?

Day 4 of the #writerspromptparty and I reckon I'm very similar to others here! I basically live in my fluffiest hoodie at the moment and can often be found carrying a lukewarm cup of coffee around with me. (Whilst two cold ones sit on my desk). What are your must have to get through the day??

My current writing set up, I'm procrastinating by making all the Pinterest boards my heart desires and distracting myself from working on If It Makes You Happy (I'm blaming it on writers block).

Can you spot the not so secret secret that i've purposefully not hid very well in the photo? (The reason for the procrastination/writers block).

My aesthetic, I think these photos sum me up pretty well, I've learned recently how important the little things are and that taking every chance you get to enjoy them will do nothing bar fill you up as a person and genuinely makes life easier, who doesn't want that?

So what little things make you happy??

(PSA: I was away for the weekend but I'm taking part in the #writerspromptparty this month so I will be uploading two posts today to make up/catch up on what I missed)

Okay and?

I'm sorry but I'll defend the romance genre till my dying breath.. HAVE YOU NEVER READ AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS OR A BROTHERS BEST FRIEND.. it's autumn PICK UP A COSY BOY NEXT DOOR ROMCOM OR AN INHERITANCE THAT COMES WITH A GRUMPY CONTRACTOR, OR A PSYCHOLOGICAL/DARKER ROMANCE, it's literally a legal obligation for this time of year!

Speaking of which.. if anyone has any recs pls leave them in the comments!!!
