A wonderful evening at The Art Quarter!

We had the pleasure of hosting the American Society of South Africa for their final Third Thursday gathering of 2026 at Michelangelo Towers.

The evening featured poetry by Palesa Makwetsa, a friendly competition through the Quarter Quest and guests putting their art knowledge to the test as they searched for artworks across The Art Quarter.

The Art Quarter - a makeshift cinema for one night only!

Nazo Arts and Projects (L06) in association with Imbewu Collective presents an exclusive screening of The Two Musketeers - a powerful film by innovative storyteller Director Dlamini.

About the film: When reality hits two young boys and they are forced to be in situations that pressure grown men to make unspeakable decisions. When do we as a society realise that we have subjugated innocence? A society were tainting innocence is normalised and glorified as rite of passage. This is more than just a film - this is a conversation about where we come from, where we are, and where our stories are going.

I’m excited to be part of Live Painting at The Art Quarter, where I’ll be bringing my creative process into the space through a live painting session and a hands-on tote bag painting workshop.
