Last Japan adventure day. I liked Tokyo Disneyland way better than Disney Sea. Normal lines, familiar rides with Japan twists, less crowds. The Beauty and the Beast ride was spectacular. And I loved seeing how Japan’s rides differed from ours. Came back to the hotel and had a delicious rice and chicken bento box (I wish we had food like this in our convenience stores) and now I’m getting some rest before the journey home tomorrow. That’s a wrap Japan!

Went to Tokyo Disney Sea today. To say it was overwhelming is an understatement. Big crowds and long lines for everything, even popcorn. Still had fun though. The park is very pretty and the rides we did manage to go on were pretty cool. People are serious about their Disney in Tokyo. Everyone had Mickey ears, cute Disney outfits, and lots of Disney accessories. I didn’t get much pictures of the park so here’s some of my silly face in my new hat.

Last excursion day on the cruise. We were in Shimizu and saw Mount Fuji! She let us see her before hiding behind some clouds. We drove to the Shiraito Waterfalls in the foothills of Fuji. The next stop was a Shinto shrine but I opted to eat ice cream while everyone went inside. And we ended our day at Miho no Matsubara, a pine grove at the beach. Next stop Disney!

Went to Chiran today to see some still standing samurai houses. I love the peaceful gardens and finding interesting things within. Then we went to the Chiran Peace Museum and saw some things about their Kamekazi pilots. Now I’m just sitting on the boat watching it rain while I read. This vacation has been amazing.

Back in Japan today in Nagasaki. Visited the Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Museum. The Peace Memorial Park was lovely with many statues and the big Peace Statue made possible by donations from all over the world. And I got to see a cat! It crawled in my lap and let me pet it. The Atomic Bomb Museum was a harsh reminder of something truly terrible. The other visits were much lighter. We went to the Dejami Island, home of the East India Company with Dutch influences. Apparently I loved all the wallpaper in the replica buildings. And we ended the day at Glover Park where we could see our ship waiting for us.

Today was Jeju Island in South Korea. Started the day at Yomiji Botanical Garden where they had a tall observation tower we could see the city from. Then we went to the Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls that had this pretty pedestrian bridge called Seonim Bridge with 7 nymphs carved along the side. Stopped for lunch and had Korean BBQ. 😋 We went to Jusangjeolli Cliffs to see the rock formations - lava hitting cold water crystallizes the lava rock. Our last stop was the Yakcheon Buddhist Temple. Jeju Island is known for their citrus so lots of orange souvenirs. 😬 And they have these “stone grandfather” statues made out of lava rock everywhere. Busy day, but pretty cool visit. Sorry Christine, I couldn’t find any members of BTS to bring home to you. 😂
