Mommy it’s been a month since you were called home. I have sat for so long thinking about the right words to say to express the kind of person and how loved my mother was, but there are no words to express the magnitude of her impact. I have constantly heard my family say we lost our glue and the leader of the family, but I want everyone to know death doesn’t erase WHO she was. That glue is still here. My sister and I have been through some unspeakable times with our mother. Before her success and the world knew her as Dr. India Christian, there were times she went hungry to feed her two little girls. There were times that we were awoken to late night bag packing to run away from things that I wouldn’t come to know until I became a woman. My mother never showed defeat or helplessness in any if these situations, each time she turned it into a new game or adventure we were facing. She showed nothing but strength. Due to my mother’s strength I can pull from those moments when in need to showcase my own strength and compassion as a mother, woman, sister, and friend. I have found the courage to continue her legacy with Christian Home Health Care by pulling from those same moments. So many of you that are also mourning my mother can do the same to get through those hard moments in life and that just proves our glue is not lost. It’s okay to mourn or have moments of weakness but don’t ever for a moment think everything ended in her death.
To my angle: I miss you more than words can express. It gets harder as time passes knowing I don’t have you here with me anymore. The only thing that brings me peace is knowing how bad you just wanted to relax and go on a vacation but couldn’t because someone always needed you. On February 21, 2023 God decided to take you on that everlasting vacation in his paradise. God has you and you can rest now Mommy. I love forever 🤍🕊 Rest well my beautiful angel. by @t.terrylin_
