every year that goes by this day only seems to get a little harder. i think it's because as i get older i'm starting to understand you more, and finding so many things i wish we got the chance to talk about. i'm so grateful to still be able to be learning so much about you, the amount of stories mom and gran get to tell me and adam about how cool of a dude you were. i'm never running out of ways to talk about you and incorporate you into my life as if you were still here, and at this point it feels like most of my friends knew you just based on how casually they mention you too, despite never meeting you. even with only 8 years to show for it i know i ended up with the best dad imaginable, and somehow sometimes it really feels like you never left, just from how much love i still feel when i think about you even after 17 years without you.
