What a way to end my spring. One of the best turkey hunters I know, and an even better friend, completed his 49 state US super slam. Congrats @laymon7, and welcome to the club brother! #teamgobbywood #chasing49 #blessed by @t_bays

West Virginia and New Jersey treated me exceptionally well! I have spent nearly half my life working towards what is now only one state left. What I thought would be exciting is almost turning into a bittersweet feeling. Taking in every gobble trying to get one last good ride in. #teamgobbywood #easterns #chasing1more by @t_bays

Virginia, Maryland and Delaware gobblers from this past week. Closing in on my last couple states and I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Trying to soak every last bit up! #teamgobbywood #easterns #chasing49 by @t_bays

Big fat white tipped Arizona mountain merriams! It’s tough hunting mountain turkeys this time of the year, but Matt and I were able to capitalize on day 3 of our trip! To say we were excited might be a bit of an understatement!! #teamgobbywood #mountaingobs #chasing49 by @t_bays
