One of the newest acquisitions in our collection, Edith Karlson’s @edith_karlson March, has just completed its exhibition at @kiasmamuseum in Helsinki, where it was presented as part of the artist’s solo exhibition Dawn till Dawn.

A strange army of hybrid creatures, carrying flimsy branches as weapons, March explores feelings of disappointment and helplessness in the face of the current state of the world.

And now, the work is moving on.

Next stop: Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.

We can’t wait to see where March goes next.

Recently opened in Tallinn, Kaido Ole’s solo exhibition Krt brings together a new series of paintings exploring what the artist describes as the “BAD” — not the everyday kind, but something larger, more universal and persistent.
Filled with flames, surreal characters and Ole’s characteristic blend of conceptual painting, geometric abstraction, pop art and nouveau réalisme, the works transform darker subjects into theatrical, absurd and often humorous compositions.

The exhibition also features one of the latest additions to the TAAD Foundation collection: Allegory IV, oil and acrylic on canvas, 200 × 240 cm, 2025.

Kaido Ole (b. 1963) lives and works in Tallinn. In 2003, he represented Estonia at the 50th Venice Biennale together with Marko Mäetamm under the alias John Smith.

By repurposing seemingly simple materials, Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė strips us of our bearings, prompting us to question the reality of our world and what lies behind the beautiful images on our screens. Cross-stitch is not merely a feminine technique used to embellish household linen; it is a way in which patterns can regularly colonise objects, transforming their nature and revealing their true meaning.

Welcome to the @taadfoundation family, Dolores, by ASMA 🤍

@asma_asma_asma_asma_asma_asma is an artist duo formed by Matias Armendaris (b. 1990, Ecuador) and Hanya Beliá (b. 1994, Mexico), who live and work in Mexico City.
Moving between painting and sculpture, their practice creates allegorical figures, hybrid forms and evocative spaces that explore identity, belonging, memory and transformation. Fictional narratives intertwine forms of nature with contemporary psychoaffective landscapes, while a nostalgic revisitation of the past meets a metamodern exploration of beauty.
At the heart of ASMA’s sculptural practice are ball-jointed dolls, transformed into uncanny, hybrid figures that explore our relationship with the nonhuman and question ideas of selfhood and identity. Working with found and recycled materials, the artists embrace fragmentation and hybridity, reimagining the doll as a space for psychological and material transformation.

Dolores (2025) joins the TAAD Foundation collection.

On September 17, Showroom Galerie_7 will open “Spring Is in the Air”, an exhibition by Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė presented as part of the Clermont-Ferrand Textile Biennale and in dialogue with the Lyon Biennale. The exhibition will feature “Spring Is in the Air”, a work from the TAAD Foundation Collection.

Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė, Professor and Head of the Department of Textile Art and Design at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, brings together everyday objects and traditional textile techniques in her practice. In her work, cross-stitch embroidery — often associated with domestic textiles and feminine craft — becomes a means of transforming familiar objects, shifting their meaning and revealing unexpected cultural and social layers.

“Spring Is in the Air” reflects the artist’s distinctive approach to the relationship between everyday life, craft and contemporary art, inviting us to look anew at familiar objects and the meanings they carry.

The exhibition will be on view until October 17, 2026, Monday to Saturday, 10 am–5 pm. taken in Lyon, France by @taadfoundation

On July 24 at 6:00 PM, Gallery “Energija” will open Mouths, a solo painting exhibition by Klaipėda-born, London-based artist Viltė Fuller.
In this new body of work, Fuller turns her attention to private and semi-private domestic spaces through the lens of Baltic food culture: markets, bakeries, roadside cafés, family recipes, and everyday eating rituals. For the artist, food becomes not only a cultural symbol but also a way to explore the subconscious, dreamlike childhood memories, migration, and identity.
“Growing up in the United Kingdom, I most often experienced Lithuanian culture through language, family traditions, and food. This exhibition is an attempt to reconnect with those roots and to revisit the rituals that shaped my own relationship with Lithuania.”

Last weekend, TAAD Foundation Director @ugnebuzinskaite had the pleasure of representing the Foundation in the panel discussion “Private Foundations as a Tool for Art Scene Development” at @rigacontemporary.

Heading to Riga Contemporary 2026!

TAAD Foundation will be joining Riga Contemporary @rigacontemporary, taking place July 2–5 at Hanzas Perons @hanzas.perons — one of the Baltic region’s leading platforms for contemporary art.

On July 4, TAAD Foundation Director @ugnebuzinskaite will participate in the panel discussion “Private Foundations as a Tool for Art Scene Development”, moderated by @vitaliberte.
