At TAAR, we’re exploring mangroves, their changing geography, their gradual fragmentation, and the ecological, cultural, and historical significance they hold.

Through research and conversations with ecologists, researchers, and local communities, we’re tracing how these landscapes have evolved, what has been lost, and the complex relationship between the city and its mangrove ecosystems.

Our exploration takes shape through a series of artworks that seek to bring these often-overlooked stories to light.

True artistry demands absolute, precise patience. A transformation unfolds as elements align over hours, settling into a singular, tactile poetry. An understated grace reveals its soul to those who embrace the beauty of the wait.

We live in an age of frictionless production. That is what makes the stubborn, weathered reality of a craftsman’s hand so miraculous. It is skin that has crossed the border between trial and instinct so many times, it no longer bothers to announce the crossing.

But notice the trade being made in that silence. It is a beautiful, invisible exchange: the life, the pulse, the warmth of the maker leaves the flesh and migrates entirely into the object. They do not merely manufacture. They create.
