Springtime in KY means sunshine, long runs, and furniture revival! I don’t know about y’all, but I love any excuse to get outside. This was our latest restoration project, a beautiful 9-Drawer Mid-Century Modern chest of drawers that was once part of the “Fashion Trend” line by 1930s MCM designer Johnson Carper. Fun fact: Carper’s Mid-Century Modern furniture was featured in the well-loved 1950s television show “I Love Lucy”

In very “me” fashion, I forgot to take a good before photo to show what a big difference was made from start to finish. However, I did manage to find a photo of the dresser from midway through our process, after we had cleaned it and replaced the hardware. I hope you enjoy, and happy derby week!! 🐎

She’s a BEAUTY 😍 Entranced by the woodwork & finish on this solid wood buffet. This piece features 3 custom dovetail drawer boxes & 2 swinging cabinet doors which open up to an exceptional amount of storage space. Original pulls/hardware. Very clean/little to no wear nor blemishes to the finish of the wood. Big thanks to @_annhamm and @jesseelynch. Without whom, I’d have broken my back transporting this beast. Dimensions: 49” L / 26” D / 33.5” H. Price is $400. DM to purchase. SOLD. #TM #TableManners by @tablemanners.ky

Latest restoration project! I had a blast injecting new life into this antique sewing table (which would make for a beautiful desk). After a thorough cleaning, I sanded the table’s surface & edges with my palm sander. Next, I applied 2 coats of a stain/polyurethane combo which gave the surface a rich classic oak color. Finally, I touched up the body and legs of the table with my trusty bottle of dark wood Old English. Swipe to see how far this piece has come 🤩 Dimensions: 36” L / 20” D / 30” H. Price is $120. DM to purchase. #TM #TableManners
