So here’s a little bit about us for all the new faces 🌻

We’re Isabelle & Josephine, the duo behind tabletop. We met while both working full-time office jobs and bonded over a shared passion for food and a desire to do something more hands-on. We both decided to take the leap, quit our jobs, and follow our hearts into the kitchen. Over the past few years, we’ve worked in various kitchens, eventually ending up working together at Choux.

What started as a small side project, hosting the occasional dinner or pop-up, grew into what tabletop is today: our own culinary creative space where we design menus, create dishes, cater events (big and small), and basically do whatever else we feel inspired to do. Feeling very very grateful that we now get to call this our work.

We don’t like to label our cooking, but we draw most of our inspiration from nature and love working with flowers, plants, and everything each season has to offer. That connection to nature plays a big role in the way we create, cook, and host.

Big welcome to everyone who recently joined us here!! We love connecting with people who love food as much as we do and are always open to collaborations, new catering projects, partnerships, or other fun ideas.

Peak seasonal produce are always our first source of inspiration. So a change of season equals a boost of new ideas and motivation to experiment 🤸🏼‍♀️

After a busy summer, we finally found some time again to take it a bit slower, go out picking fig leafs and test some new recipes. We got some very cool projects coming up and we’re beyond excited to cook our way through our favourite season 🍂🍐🍄‍🟫 by @tabletopamsterdam

If we had to name one place where our love for cooking really sparked, it would be @chouxrestaurant. We both work(ed) in the kitchen here, and it’s safe to say this place shaped the way we cook more than anywhere else. The people, the creativity, the produce, all of it left a big mark.

That’s why last week’s pop-up felt extra special: being invited to cook in the kitchen of Choux’s little sister, @zuiver.bar.

We cooked some new dishes, Figo and Rick poured some old wines, and most of all we had lots of fun.
