Good morning from a plate of fresh @taborbread bagels. This year, we're carrying three flavors of their sourdough, whole wheat bagels: plain, "cacio e pepe" (asiago cheese and pepper), and "super seedy." We like them warmed up with cream cheese or butter. by @taborbread

Thank you all for a fantastic Solstice Market! A big thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets! We will announce one lucky winner tomorrow, who will receive a lovely basket of gifts from our wonderful vendors today. The prize includes wine from @suzor_wines, cider from @duality.brewing, beautiful mugs from @claycommonsnet, delicious caramels made by @sugarwitchpdx, and a stunning necklace from @cornelia.craft, along with a few items from us! A huge thank you to our amazing friends and vendors who donated these items to the raffle💌

Regarding the Bread subscriptions, we're extending the raffle through the end of the day on Wednesday! I want to raise as much money as possible for @ics_pdx. If you bought a raffle ticket today, don’t worry — you’re still in the running for the Bread subscriptions! But please encourage your friends and family to get a raffle ticket before Wednesday! In Part 9 of this series, I am checking out Tabor Bread in Southeast Portland. They have a cult following for their 100% local whole grain and naturally leavened sourdough baking! Absolutely a must try bakery.

Hands. People. So many hands have touched this croissant to create this beautiful, magical piece of happiness. From the cows being milked to the process of making butter and turning it into butter blocks. The hands picking and drying the cacao beans to be made into the most beautiful Ecuadorian chocolate I’ve ever tasted. From growing the grain to picking it, milling the flour, packing it, shipping it, mixing and shaping the dough, laminating it to create dozens and dozens of perfectly even layers of butter and dough, and finally baking it. Countless people have touched these croissants! All from different parts of the country and the world. Speaking different languages and having different beliefs, yet all working together to create food. Food is love. Food is community. We are better together, stronger together—never give up. 🤍 by @taborbread
