This isn’t something I’m sharing from theory, I am living it. And I wanted to share this for all of those who are struggling and want to find a different way of living. Because it is possible.

More of us are choosing a different path , and I’m so glad that I did because my life looks very different now. I often think about what I would have had to navigate if I was facing these challenges whilst I was still working for someone else. Taking a pay cut, financial burden on a family who needs it more than ever, and the guilt of being absent.

The courage it took to show up online even though it sometimes felt cringe , paid off. Because this business has now given me the opportunity to go beyond conventional care, invest in extra tests , invest in outside help and support to help us manage our household so that I can maintain presence , heal and focus in being a mommy, my number 1 priority.

All you need is a vision, and a two year plan xx

Posting this far later than planned, but I’ll always share experiences that are genuinely worth it.

I’ve had plenty of spa days in this city that looked beautiful but left me feeling underwhelmed. This one was different. It stayed with me.

I fully switched off and immersed myself in the experience, although I couldn’t resist capturing a bit of the Rainforest Experience.

As for the amaaaazing Balinese massage, there’s no content from that. That’s one I’ll leave you to discover for yourselves. by @tabsqureshix

Burnout does not fix itself. It is intentional and healing from it becomes a full time job. So I:

- left a 15 year corporate career that was draining me
- Stopped tying my income to one job and one system
- took control of my time so I’m not constantly rushing
- chose to be more present with my kids
- started homeschooling so I can shape our day
- creates space to be there for my loved ones
- prioritised my health when my body was struggling
- built income that still runs when I slow down
- changed my environment between the UK and Dubai and anywhere else we chose
- designed my life around my values not just work
- allowed myself to step back so I can heal properly.

This is just what I did. May you find the courage to do the same.

I built a business which allows to work from anywhere. Yes our home is in the uk but we are fortunate enough to be able to leave and spend time in better places. Currently that’s the UAE. Most people look for jobs in Dubai or opportunities for work when they want to move here … but that ties you down to one employer , one visa and the same lack of mobility you would have in a 9-5 in the uk.

It’s never been easier to become a digital nomad these days … so let this be your inspiration to follow that dream and become a founder too.

If a raging ADHD mum of two like me with the most shite organisational skills can , you can too girl.

I don’t even know where to start with this…

A huge heartfelt thank you for the messages, love and support over the last few days. It hasn’t gone unnoticed. I’ve read them all and it’s held me up in ways I didn’t even know I needed.

It’s funny because you don’t realise how much people matter or even care until life slows you down a bit.

So thank you for being kind, respectful and just for being here and caring 🤍

And also, a little shoutout to my quiet companions through all of this… The ones who don’t ask questions, don’t need updates, but somehow stay by your side like they just know. It’s giving all the feels 🥰

Anyway… just feeling grateful. And taking it all with me as I keep moving forward.

🙌🏽 They say choose your hard. But sometimes you don’t have a choice and the universe chooses for you.

Life is full of sudden and unexpected turns. Only a few of are lucky enough to have prepared for them.

… For the last 4 months I’ve been battling, and healing has in itself become a full time job.

As I enter into a new phase of my life which involves a prolonged treatment plan, please excuse me if there are moments where I am quieter than usual or if I don’t show up in the way I previously have.

Just know I am still here and forever grateful for this amazing community.

🎀 I would like to make a polite request :
Please give my family- my husband, family and cousins - the space they need right now. They are also navigating this season with me and in some ways, it has hit them harder.

Sending you all of my love and please remember me in your prayers if you can. 🙏🏻 🤲🏼 🙌🏽

Today I watched two boss women who trusted themselves to secure their future.

One a mum of 3 in her 40s who built a multiple 6 figure income in less than two years.

The other a GP partner burned out from practice and the immense pressure of the NHS, who can now have the work life balance she so desperately needed.

So many of us have dreams and a desire to pursue them. But too often we talk ourselves out of doing that just.

Because we stay within the zones that feel safe to us. And trying something new feels scary. And risky even.

Yet we trust power structures and systems designed by men for men , and keep us stuck.

Isn’t it time you trusted your own self with your future? It’s in your hands and no one else’s.
