A few unforgettable days with the flying legend Sean D. Tucker. Watching him take to the backcountry with that signature precision and joy reminded us why we all love to fly. Thanks for the inspiration, @seandtucker . Until next time!

#flightschool #backcountry #generalaviation #flying #seantucker #seandtucker #stol #tailwheel by @tacaero

Five days. Four nights. Endless backcountry adventure! 🏔️✈️

Last month TacAero led an unforgettable expedition into Idaho’s backcountry, bringing together pilots and companions for a week of flying, adventure, and camaraderie.

Mornings were spent exploring remote airstrips, mountain valleys, and river corridors alongside experienced TacAero instructors. Afternoons were filled with fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and relaxing, while evenings brought everyone together around the campfire.

A special highlight was having legendary Idaho backcountry pilot and author Dick Williams join the group to share his knowledge and stories from decades of flying in the region.

More than just a flying adventure, these expeditions are about building skills, making memories, and experiencing the incredible places our airplanes can take us.

A big thank you to @TacAero and the Idaho Aviation Association for helping make adventures like this possible!

Some runways don’t have a name. Just coordinates, a windsock, and a view worth the flight.

This is what backcountry flying is for. by @tacaero

Remote grass strips. Canyon approaches. Evenings at the ranch. The TacAero Idaho Expedition delivered backcountry flying at its finest.

Days were spent flying classic Idaho backcountry strips, followed by relaxed afternoons at the ranch and great meals with fellow aviators. Challenging flying, incredible scenery, and a community of pilots who live for this. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Every TacAero expedition begins with our Advanced Backcountry Course in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Your next adventure starts here. Reach out to learn about upcoming courses and expeditions.
