🌮 have you been to this lil taco gem? 🌮

I can’t believe it took me this long to get to @tacouprising - I’m always over on Welton St and have seen it so many times, and when I recently stopped in, I was blown away!

First, this place is great for early fall - I love the quasi patio set up with autumn breezes flowing in, and the overall vibes are so fun.

But you’re here to read about tacos and other treats.

Highly recommend getting there for happy hour - either Tuesday through Thursday from 11am-2pm and 4:30-6:30pm, or basically all day Friday and Saturday from 11am-6:30pm - they have tons of deals on their tacos, drinks and other bites.

I had a margarita flight (so many different fun and tasty options) and we also opted for a Green Mile, a tequila, cucumber, lime, ginger and mezcal treat.

As far as bites, the guac and salsas are good, but the queso stole the show for me - it’s pure drippy, cheesy goodness (I’m tired of queso fundido in Denver and so I crave a good drippy queso always)

The tacos are SO good - we tried the Birria (drool), the Fried Chicken (unique, huge, and made with the best buttermilk fried chicken) and now my new personal favorite Denver taco, the El Mexicano (made with griddled cheese 🤤 diced beef, avocado crema and a very tasty salsa Mexicana) - none of these are really spicy but they do have sauces to turn up the heat if you prefer!

I truly cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

@tacouprising continues to be one of the best spot in Five Points! Whenever we have the chance to stop by, we do. Their new burrito is delicious, but the tacos remain fantastic—especially the flavorful, juicy birria. And, of course, their margaritas are still outstanding!

National Breakfast Day landed on a Saturday, which means it landed on breakfast taco day.
