Glad to be part of the @theconservationangler northern crown project. Insane 365 days. Lotta fish lotta good people and a lotta growth. Added a raft and a jet boat to the fleet. Went up to Alaska twice. Spent basically all of August in Astoria and most of the fall on the Oregon coast with a few treks east. I’d like to give a huge thank you to everybody I fished with or who fished with me. Done with the bay time to head north. Was a fun spring with the man himself. It can be a grind battling wind and weeds but the quality both fillet and fight of a coastal spring chinook hooked in 8’ depth or less can’t be beat #springchinook by @tadashiday

Was a big fish winter. Landed quite a few high teeners but had some opportunities at the bench mark. Hooked 3 in the 19/20 class. One immediately left and nearly spooled me the other swam into an underwater basalt cave. 3rd one let me tame it briefly touch it and unhook it before shaking my hands off and bailing back to the deep. #wintersteelhead taken in Heavy Metal Universe by @tadashiday

A few photos of my boats evolution over the last decade. A lot of older @alumaweldboats drift boats around but only one built like this one. Full width open floors, flat back floor, drain grates, electric bilge, forward facing live sonar, interior LED lights, two anchor systems both ran back to the rower with the rear plumbed through the floor, extra storage, the works.
