Great things are happening in Wilkinsburg!

This morning, I joined Rising Tide Partners and community partners to celebrate the ribbon cutting and re-dedication of Central Apartments at 908 Center Street.

A building that has stood since 1906 now has new life, providing 16 renovated affordable Permanent Supportive Housing units for individuals transitioning out of homelessness.

Revitalization isn’t just about buildings it’s about people, opportunity, and community.

Congratulations to everyone who made this possible, and most importantly, welcome home to the future residents of Central Apartments!

And yes… anytime they give me giant scissors, you know I’m ready!

Community is a verb.

You meet at the market.
You volunteer.
You exchange ideas.
You support local.
You move together.

And little by little, you realize we aren’t just living near each other. We’re building something with each other.

This is Wilkinsburg. 🤎

The people are the pulse.
The connection is the currency.
And movement is just one more way we come together.
