To lose a mother in a single day feels unreal & Just 5 Years later to have to experience my dad death in a completely unforgivable way, this is a moment I never imagined would come so soon. 🥺 But now that it’s here, I sit in a whirlwind of emotions, letting each wave wash over me gently.
I close my eyes and try to hold on to every memory,
Every laugh we shared, every hug I still feel,
Every lesson you taught, and every truth I learned just by watching you love and live.🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
The warmth of your smiles lives in my heart, and that heart now beats with double the strength 💪🏾because it carries not just me, but the both of you within it.
Living in this world without your physical presence…

#classof2014 I can hardly find the words to describe what this past weekend at UMES meant to me. Celebrating Homecoming and the 10-year anniversary of my journey as a proud member of the Class of 2014 was truly special. Seeing so many faces, both familiar and new, reminded me just how far I’ve come and, unexpectedly, how much I’ve inspired others. Meeting new Hawks who knew about my movies, shows, and art was deeply humbling—it showed me that my work has reached people in ways I hadn’t realized.🥺

The past few months have been tough, with grief, back-to-back surgeries, and countless doctor’s visits. But coming back to my alma mater felt like finding peace. I was surrounded by an outpouring of love, support, and appreciation from everyone I met. It was a reminder that, despite the struggles, I am exactly where I’m supposed to be.

The challenges I’ve faced were real, but they won’t break me. The devil may try, but I’m more determined than ever. I’m keeping my foot on the gas, because there’s still work to be done. Here’s to the journey ahead, and to the strength that keeps us moving forward. God is definitely ordering my steps.🙏🏽
