🏌🏾‍♂️ A SUCCESSFUL FIRST ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER! ⛳

The 100 Black Men of Douglasville, Inc. proudly celebrates the success of our First Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser held at Chapel Hill Golf Course!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors, golf teams, volunteers, executive members, cohort members, local officials, and our district representative who came out to support this important event.

Your participation and generosity represent more than a day on the golf course. You are investing in our youth, supporting our mentees, strengthening our community, and helping us continue our mission of mentoring and creating opportunities for the next generation.

We could not have accomplished this milestone without your commitment, generosity, and belief in the work we do. Every sponsorship, every team, every volunteer hour, and every show of support made a difference!

As we celebrate this first successful tournament, we look forward to next year’s event and welcome your continued partnership and support as we grow this tradition for years to come.

Together, we are making a difference—one mentee, one opportunity, and one community at a time!

Thank you for helping us drive the future forward! 🏌🏾‍♂️⛳

Count me in. 🗳️✊🏽

I’m joining my brothers in service for National Black Men Voter Day on Saturday, October 24. Since 2022, the Black vote has grown by 1.6 million, now reaching 31 million nationally. As a member of the @naacp and @newyorkurbanleague, I know nobody’s going to show up for our communities if we don’t show up first.

Plan it. Check your registration, find your polling place, and decide how you’re voting. Early, mail, or Election Day. Just have a plan.

There is power in numbers and we are pulling up at least 100K strong! To learn more follow us on IG @blackmanvoterday.

🚨 BLACK MAN, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! ✊🏾🗳️

From the classroom to the paycheck. From the cost of groceries to the keys to your first home. From our schools to our streets. POLITICS TOUCHES EVERYTHING!

And whether you participate in the process or not, the decisions are STILL being made.

📊 Only 43% of Black households own their homes.
📊 Nearly 1 in 3 unemployed Black men have been looking for work for six months or longer.
📊 Too many of our young brothers are still deciding whether their vote matters.

THE DATA IS IN. NOW IT’S ON US!

We’ve spent enough time talking about what needs to change. Now it’s time to show up and make our voices heard!

Tomorrow, October 24th, is NATIONAL BLACK MAN VOTER DAY! 🔥

We’re calling on 100,000 Black men across this country to make their voices heard through early voting wherever it’s available.

And hear me clearly: We aren’t telling you WHO to vote for. We’re reminding you WHY your voice matters.

Your family. Your future. Your finances. Your freedom.

Brother, if you have time to scroll, you have time to make a voting plan. And if you’ve already voted, grab another brother and help him make his plan!

WE DON’T HAVE TO AGREE ON EVERYTHING TO AGREE THAT OUR VOICES MATTER!

📲 Swipe through. Read the data. Share this post. Tag three brothers. Make a plan.

On October 24, 2026, organizations across the country will come together for the inaugural National Black Man Voter Day, a nonpartisan initiative focused on voter education, civic engagement and community action.

Here in South Florida, the date falls during early voting for the November 3 general election.

But civic participation goes beyond the ballot. It’s also about understanding the issues affecting our neighborhoods, asking questions, engaging with different perspectives and staying connected to our communities.

At South Florida People of Color, we believe meaningful change begins with dialogue and grows through informed participation.

Swipe to learn what this national initiative means and why it matters here at home.

BROTHERHOOD. LEADERSHIP. GROWTH. PURPOSE.

What happens when you bring young men together, challenge them to step outside their comfort zones, and create space for honest conversations about manhood, leadership, and their future? Something powerful happens. 💪🏾

This weekend, our Rites of Passage Leadership Academy mentees experienced the true meaning of brotherhood. From our “I Am My Brother’s Keeper” opening exercise and meaningful conversations about becoming men of character in today’s world to canoeing, kayaking, archery, and low ropes challenges, every experience created an opportunity to build trust, sharpen focus, strengthen communication, and work together.

Through laughter, challenges, reflection, and a few men-overboard moments 😂, our young men were reminded that leadership isn’t just about how far you go individually. It’s about how you show up for the men beside you.

We closed by affirming our Brotherhood Commitment Creed, putting into words the values, standards, and promises that will guide how they will treat, challenge, encourage, and support one another.

We’re building more than a brotherhood. We’re developing men of character, confidence, discipline, and purpose who understand that a real brother doesn’t just want to see you win. He helps you become the man capable of winning.

This is Rites of Passage. This is brotherhood in action. 💙🖤

I want to thank @ulgp_president President and CEO of @urbanleaguegphl for highlighting the importance for Black Men to exercise their right to vote on October 24th, which is @blackmanvoterday .

For a group that is often misunderstood as it relates to our commitment to leading our family and our community, we thank Dr. Anderson for bringing attention to this issue as part of the @naturbanleague Black Men Taskforce.

We have got the cartridge box and the ballot box, but the knowledge box is wanting.” — Frederick Douglass, 1870

Douglass said it 156 years ago. Today we have all three boxes. The only question is whether we use them. 🗳️

TODAY is the first day of Early Voting in Texas. No lines like Election Day. No excuses like Election Day. Just you, your ID, and your voice.

Black men: our grandfathers were beaten, jailed, and killed for the right to stand in that line. The least we can do is stand in it. Bring your son. Bring your brother. Bring the brother who “doesn’t do politics.” He does now.

Then fill the knowledge box with us. 👇🏾
