While I’ve seen high-rise basement construction before, I’ve never seen 80’ basement construction.
—
Due to space limitations surrounding this site, the contractor opted for a wacky telescopic clamshell attachment piloted by a Deere 470G. There were a few smaller machines down below to feed it. A crane will eventually lift them out.
—
After a few months of loading trucks, what you see here is close to grade. Once the excavation is complete, the concrete contractor will take over and begin their journey up. No one will know this basement exists after the building takes shape.
—
When it comes to building in urban areas, developers must use all the space they can financially afford, both above and below ground! It amazes me how this is economical.

As you get older, your Christmas list gets shorter and shorter because the things you really want can't be bought. Merry Christmas!

Camping 2019 is in the books! 🏕

Memorable moments:
- defective keg tap 🙄 thanks to Josh & Matt for calling around to finally find one that we could rent!🍺
- 13 foot floating island 💦
- mini golf ⛳️ (which some of us don’t remember 😂)
- mini hike with the entire group ⛰
- dry falls heritage area 🏜
- Mike’s Meats shop that has the best jalapeño & cheese pepperoni sticks🥩
