Sometimes a king has to remind fools why he is the king. I may not be the hero Alabama wanted, but I’m all you mfs got. Shout out to @russellg9 Huge shout out to the first company that saw something in me when insta white belt, the first company that ever gave me a chance to represent their brand and great personal friend to me @jiu.jitsu.bum and @armbearbjj thank you for all your support for not only me, but everything you do for the community down here in the South. You are one of the greatest men I’ve had the pleasure to encounter. Even bigger shout out to my day 1 coach @ol.coach.paul my jiu jitsu would be HALF of what it is today if he didn’t take the time out of his day LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE DAY, to talk to me on the phone for literal hours about jiu jitsu. He saw something in me that I never saw in my self and made me raise to that level. Great coaches are the key to success in this game and I’m blessed to have three of them. What black belt wants it next?

Competed this past weekend in Biloxi for @summitgrappling . Did not snatch the win🫣 . Sometimes I suck too. . Still a fun trip tho. . Awesome group to travel with. . If you're one of my supporters, thank you, I freaking love you. . "YoU eItHeR wIn Or YoU lEaRn" yeah stfu, anyone who says that hasn't competed in 5 years😂. . Maybe thats harsh, but I'll stand on it. . Grappling is about initiation deliberation and split-decisions. . Initiation needs work . Deliberation needs a touch up . I'm freaking PEAK at split-decisions tho🤠

Black belt debut. 7-1 coaching. 1-0 competing. I will always love coaching more than I do competing. Big shout out to @thebradybrooks and @deejwr88 for the countless rolls in preparation for my match. Huge shout out to @pat_daywalker He’s one of the absolute best dudes I know and has been taking good care of me since the beginning, super happy to get to work with him and to witness the growth and leadership he has for his team. Super proud to call him a friend of mine. Big ups to his wife Darby, who was actually the first person who ever taught me leg locks. Thank you to my wonderful wife @jessicanhenley for putting up with all my bullshit, all the hours in the gym, being my main training partner, listening to me bitch, laughing at my jokes even when they don’t hit, making my meal preps, being there for my weight cuts, keeping me on track in all facets of life. She is the only reason I can continue to grow at the pace that I do. And the biggest of shout outs to @thesouthernsensei and @10pbham for being one of my best friends, supporting me, and allowing me to be myself and express myself (for the most part😳). Matt has been absolutely great for not only my growth as an athlete and coach, but also as a man. Thank you for allowing me to represent the team, and thank you for always being there for me. Lastly, shout out to my dad, he’s been my biggest fan my whole life. He’s been my bestfriend for as long as I can remember. From sleeping in a bench seat Chevy s-10 to being on the coach at the PGF my dad has never had a shadow of a doubt in his mind about my success in whatever I chose to do, and in turn I have never had a shadow of a doubt in myself. During this camp my dad was receiving cancer treatments, and there were many days where I cried all the way to the gym. Despite my father’s suffering he never brought it up to me. He cared more about my peace and my success than he did his own suffering. “The Gods envy us. They envy our mortality because a life that ends is more beautiful than one that doesnt.”

Thank you Lord, and thank you to my game opponent. Messed my right hand up early in the fight, so fought mostly left handed which was good experience. I’ll heal up and be back in the cage hopefully one more time this year. Thank you CFC and much love to everyone who supports me❤️🖖

Went up 20 lbs for these two super fights. One finished with a belly down straight ankle and my second going into EBI OT winning by control! And Im still tired from ADCC 🫠 Thank you guys for the fun times and good competition this weekend!
