“Camelot, located nowhere in particular, can be found anywhere.” -N.J. Lacey

Groundling Pluck, Faralong Moat began in the laundry of Magic Lanes, not far from the corner of I-5/I-90. Jade, Will, Zach and I recorded a reel of music after cruising up the coast with La Luz. Pretty soon Zach moved to LA and the world hit pause, so I made a little basement nest of wool blankets, instruments and communal-house artifacts where I spent the next couple hundred evenings overdubbing songs into oblivion and improvising new songs.

Then the lord of the land sold Magic Lanes for a million dollars, Will moved to NY and everyone else moved down the road, where I mixed everything together watching the Cascades outside my window. Mikey Young graciously mastered the album just in time for tour of the Western states.

I’m grateful to pass along this chapter of myrth and decay. Groudling Pluck, Faralong Moat, a windy collection of moody pop songs steeped in stone-cottage harmony and post-plonk bardo. This one goes out to everyone navigating this (post-)colonial nightmare and to all friends and foes of the natural world. Deep gratitude to the Forest Family for sharing their instruments, love and advice. Double thanks to Jade Tcimpidis, Will Murdoch, Zach Burba, Clem Hepburn, Jacob Jaffe, Jake Jones, Kirsten Ourada, Gavin McCourt, Dena Zilber, Hanna Broback, Evan Easthope and my folks.

This week I'm playing two solo shows. One in Seaview, where I've had an incredible experience at @souwesterarts, and the other in Astoria.
As well as working on new tracks and recordings on a daily basis, I've also been making some collages. I made these two collages recently

Thursday at 7pm @souwester

Sunday at 5 pm @obeliskbeerco
