Justin Li is a former law enforcement officer and co-founder of @qoreperformance

QORE Performance builds thermoregulation solutions designed to enhance human performance, and today we’re digging into how it all started. Justin shares the story of how he and his partner, J.D. Wilcox, set out to solve a complex physiological problem with a surprisingly simple idea — helping people cool or heat their bodies in ways that actually improve output, endurance, and recovery.

We talk through the science, the research, and the real-world applications behind products like the IcePlate and IceVents, and how these tools are used by military, law enforcement, and athletes alike. Whether you’re on duty, training hard, or just looking to perform better for longer, this conversation dives deep into the physiology of heat, cold, and performance.

There’s a little product showcase, a lot of nerding out, and plenty of takeaways you can apply right away.

I’ve been following Jimmy Prendergast from @modernathletestrength for a while now, and if you’re into the training side of what we talk about here on the show—especially in the tactical space—you’re gonna want to hear this.

Jimmy and his team come from a deep background in D1 sports, the NFL, and tactical strength and conditioning. We get into all of it—his career path, how he approaches programming for athletes in complex environments, and what it actually means to train like an athlete when you’re balancing strength, speed, power, and capacity.

We dig into the gray areas of what works, what doesn’t, and how to avoid common traps when programming for concurrent training. This was a fun one for me—Jimmy’s sharp, knows his stuff, and breaks things down in a way that’s accessible for coaches and athletes alike.

If you’re a first responder, military, or just someone who wants to train hard and smart—this conversation is packed with takeaways. Make sure to follow Jimmy and his crew over at @modernathletestrength and check out modernathletestrength.com for more.

Ever feel like your ability to engage multiple targets is limited by your elevation holds? Max point blank is a technique that can take out some of the memorization required. As always, this technique depends on your equipment and your target size.

US Army SOC human performance specialist @13barperformance

Shelton Stevens talks maximizing strength, power, capacity, longevity and training smarter. We dig into some nuts and bolts, identify common mistakes, and get into strategies for not just being capable…but being available to perform on demand when it matters most.

A highlight for me was our discussion on microdosing concurrent training programs and how to organize programming on the micro, macro, and meso level.

Great episode for athletes, coaches, and anyone serious about managing the time and efficiency components of their training program.

✅MOBILITY & RECOVERY✅
.
✅ Something we always try to focus on and add into our daily routine is mobility, and range of motion work, and some rolling
.
✅We truly believe this adds value to every athlete out there and it’s something people should not neglect. It doesn’t take about 15 to 20 minutes to hammer this out each morning before you work out.
.
✅Can’t hurt - might help

There’s a lot to navigate out there. How do you know if the performance program you’re on is the right fit for you?

In this episode the @inextperformance crew covers differentiating coaches and programs for your success. Having a deeper understanding of your coaches philosophy and methodology as well as strategies for client success is a great start. Then it’s up to you to dig a little deeper and understand why the program you’ve chosen is right, or wrong, for you.

Hopefully this one helps you make more informed decisions moving forward.

Here’s some of the professional coaches we follow…we talk specifically about why we value them in this one. If you’re not already we suggest giving them a follow:
