This September was different then the last couple years, life kicked me square in the chest, and the future for me is more unclear then ever before. It’s not a fun place to be in, and I am grateful for some amazing people who have reached out and helped along the way. I didn’t spend a ton of time hunting for myself, I was able to shoot a cool looking bull, but other then that time on the mountain this year was spent helping others. @kenneththrall got his first high country buck in probably the coolest place and absolutely dream scenario, one of the best dudes there is and a straight killer and I was grateful I got to share camp with him!

@13jdmorris and I had a couple intense days in the elk woods with some of the most fun encounters I’ve had in a long time and ended up with the freak bull on the ground. JD is one of the best people I know, and has turned into an incredible man, and I am gonna miss him while he is gone for the next two years but I know he’s gonna be an incredible missionary and do amazing work!

I got to spend some time down in Idaho with some of the most amazing people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. @jeffbarron70 was able to shoot his first bull with a bow and honestly it was probably the most excited I have been on a hunt in a really long time! The stars aligned, and it couldn’t have happened to a better person, he’s salt of the earth and someone we can all inspire to be more like. I just consider myself lucky to have been there and to be able to share the mountain with him and @hannahbarron96 and @paigegalea.

@amcrae91 was able to connect on a stud bull, and it made for a super fun retrieval pulling him out of the water and I was grateful I got the opportunity to assist!

@hedgeszane smoked his first archery bull, we got to spend a lot of time this year and the past couple together, between bear hunting, ice fishing and racing up and down the mountain Zane has been a little brother to me and the one night I wasn’t there he smoked a stud and I’m so happy for him because no one works harder then the Hedges boys.

At the end of the day, I’m grateful to have seen another September, and I am grateful to have spent it with some of the best
